News from Shalstone
TLuckily the rain held off on the afternoon of 13 July for the Shalstone tea party. Thanks so much to everyone who moved furniture and tents, provided food and tried some of the lawn games. No Olympic records were broken on the day; however, some younger residents
did discover the delights of shove ha’penny, and the sun shone (a little). We raised over just £400 to help with the running of the church building.
Later in the summer, a church pet service was extremely well- attended both by local and visiting dogs. We also had an extra special baptism during the benefice communion on 11 August to officially welcome Noelia Cooper into the church and village community. Many congratulations to Noelia, Fay and Joe.
Future events
The date for the Harvest Supper has been confirmed as Friday 13 September and the Safari Supper will take place on Saturday 2 November. Watch out on WhatsApp for more details in due course.
