Benefice Bring and Share picnic
We held a very successful Bring and Share picnic in Sara’s garden after the last Benefice service. It was a hot, sunny day but there was plenty of shade, and as well as members of the congregations, Sara had invited some of her neighbours. It was a delightful event and gave people a chance to sit, chat and relax, as well as eating and drinking some delicious food and wine.
Children’s corner
The children’s corner of the church has been added to with new toys and jigsaw puzzles for everyone to use and enjoy. The church has been open throughout the school holidays and we hope people have enjoyed using it.
Church Opening
Our lovely church is currently open daily from 10am to 5pm, for quiet reflection and private prayer, or just for a wander around the church and churchyard.
Midweek Spoken Holy Communion
Our midweek Communion service takes place on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10am. The dates for the next three months are September 11th, October 9th and November 6th.
Food Bank
Your generous donations for the Food Bank continue to amaze us. Our boxes are still in the church porch and all donations of non-perishable goods are always gratefully received. Please help us to help those around us who rely on this valuable resource.
Crafty Church
Crafty Church takes place on the 4th Sunday of the month. This is for the whole benefice and beyond – taking place in Tingewick Church because we have lots of space, lots and lots of craft supplies, a toilet and a little kitchen – perfect! We have a monthly theme, but this is just a suggestion. You can make other things too. If you have ideas, please come and share them.
Harvest Festival and Bring and Share Lunch
Our Harvest Festival Communion Service and Lunch will be held on Sunday 29th September. This event was a great success last year, with everyone sharing a wonderful display of food. Harvest Festival donations of non-perishable food will be gratefully received and will be donated to the food bank. More details of this event will follow on social media.
Craft Sale
Saturday 5th October Tingewick Village Hall 10am – 4pm
